We absolutely ADORE Belfast, Maine and think that enjoying the City from the water should definitely be the top 'thing to do' on your list when you visit.

The stunning Passagassawakeag River flows under the Belfast footbridge and into Belfast Bay which is an inlet of Penobscot Bay. The water is calm and clear and is frequented by playful seals and plenty of yodeling loons that disappear under the waters surface for a mesmerizing amount of time.

On a perfect day, a few fluffy clouds drift overhead and the gulls stay sat on the roof of the Front Street buildings instead of pestering you for a bite of your lunch.
