The stunning Passagassawakeag River flows under the Belfast footbridge and into Belfast Bay which is an inlet of Penobscot Bay. The water is calm and clear and is frequented by playful seals and plenty of yodeling loons that disappear under the waters surface for a mesmerizing amount of time.
